Parsons Best Western Receives Award
May 26, 2010

The owners of the Best Western Parsons Hotel recently announced that the property has received the Best Western Director’s Award. The achievement recognizes Best Western International hotels that rank in the top 20 percentile in maintenance and cleanliness among the 2,400 North America locations.

“We are very proud of this achievement,” said Vinay Gandhi hotel proprietor. “We are constantly trying to improve our properties and want to thank Best Western for this honor.” Gandhi is part of the Shree Sai Ram, LLC, which owns the Best Western and Chosethmaa Group, LLC, which owns the Canterbury Inn of Parsons.

The Best Western hotel is inspected at least twice a year by a regional level Best Western authority. Each inspection of the Parsons property has resulted in a 960 point level or above, placing the property on the Director’s Award list each time.

“It is wonderful to have a Parsons hotel recognized at this level,” said Jim Zaleski, Director of the Labette County Tourism Bureau. “The hotel industry in Parsons is very competitive, not only amongst themselves, but collectively against other cities and locations,” Zaleski said.

The Best Western Parsons was built in 2004 and is a 41 room hotel located at 101 Main Street at the East end of town. All guest rooms at the property feature a 32-inch flat screen cable television and have-high speed wired and wireless Internet access.

Best Western International is the Worlds Largest Hotel Chain representing as many as 4,200 independently owned and operated member hotels in 80 countries and territories around the globe.
